Excel sucks. I spent hours this morning trying to figure out how to get it to return a 0 instead of #N/A from the lookup function if it didn't find the value. In the end, I gave up and manually deleted the #N/A from all the cells that had it. This was very tedious and fustrating. :P

Hey, I looked help for this function and it says that LOOKUP() will return a #N/A if the search value is less than the smallest value found. So if you include in the search area a . or something similar that has a lower value (Unicode?), and leave the results entry for the . black, then you'll get a 0 returned. Hope it's not too late.
