Edouard

Today Zoya gets her knee x-rayed. The hopeful outcome of this is that she will be able to walk up the stairs under her own power tonight. That would be very, very, very nice.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Edouard is making things interesting today. These 24-hour jobs are hard to handle. You don't find out there's something to worry about until it's time to act. We're right on the edge of needing to evacuate for a Category 1 hurricane. Our house is in the evacuation zone for all hurricanes but on the edge, so we'd probably be OK in a cat 1. If we could be sure it would only be the normal hour fifteen up to Conroe, I'd say let's go and it doesn't cost much. But, then if people start deciding to leave, it could be 15 hours and we'd be sitting in gridlock in the storm.
Since we didn't already decide to leave, I'm thinking we're staying put. Good thing I went grocery shopping this weekend!
